Over the years, I’ve learned that growth often comes from the little things we do – consistently.
A journal that helps us slow down and reflect. A book that offers a new perspective. A morning ritual that helps us feel grounded before the day begins. A simple reminder that caring for ourselves matters.
This page is a collection of resources that have supported me, inspired me, or align with the work I do through Rosie in a New Light. Some are tools for reflection, some encourage movement, and others simply make life feel a little softer and more intentional.
I hope you find something here that supports you. Below, I have suggestions categorized by: Reflection, Book Recommendations, Move Your Body, Slow Mornings, and Self-Care.

Reflection
Reflection has been one of the most valuable tools in my own growth. Writing things down often helps us understand ourselves more clearly, notice patterns, and make sense of what we’re experiencing.
01
Journal
Journaling has been one of the most important parts of my day. Make sure you have a journal for your affirmations, thoughts and reflections.
02
Sketchbook
Being creative is a great way to relieve stress. It’s important to lean in when you’re feeling creative. I’ve used these sketch books for years.
03
Nice Pens
Well, I think they’re nice. They are fun to write with and the ink is nice and dark.
Book Recommendations
These are a few books that have helped me challenge the way I think. They have encouraged growth, and offered perspectives that stayed with me long after I finished reading them.
01
Not Nice
by Dr. Aziz Gazipura
A thoughtful look at people-pleasing, approval-seeking, and learning how to show up more authentically in your relationships. You won’t look at being ‘nice’ the same way.
02
Miracle Morning
by Hal Elrod
A book about creating intentional mornings and building habits that support the life you want to create. This book changed my life.
03
The Success Principles
by Jack Canfield
A practical guide to taking responsibility for your life and creating meaningful change. It lends to the belief that small actions can lead to significant results over time.
04
The Four Agreements
by Don Miguel Ruiz
Foundational. This book is simple, yet powerful, it explores the beliefs and assumptions that often create unnecessary suffering. I’ve listened to it many, many times.
05
You Are the Placebo
by Dr. Joe Dispenza
This book invites us to consider how our beliefs, and the stories we tell ourselves can influence how we experience our lives – and what we believe is possible for us.
06
The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel van der Kolk
A compassionate look at the ways our experiences can be stored in the body. This book offers valuable insight into trauma, healing, and the connection between our emotional and physical well-being. While some sections can be heavy, it provides an important perspective on understanding ourselves with greater compassion.
Move Your Body
Movement doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes caring for ourselves looks like stretching for ten minutes, going for a walk, or building strength one workout at a time. These are a few of my favorite tools for moving my body and feeling more connected to myself.
01
Dumbbell Set
I love this dumbbell set, and being able to lift weights at home means no excuses!
03
Yoga Mat
I also love this yoga mat. I’ve had mine for about four years and it’s still going strong.
Slow Mornings
There is something special about creating a slow start to the day. Whether it’s lighting a candle, making a cup of tea, or wrapping up in a cozy blanket, these small rituals can help us feel more grounded and present.
01
Sand + Fog Candle
Lighting a candle in the morning is such a great calm, and relaxing way to start your morning. I like this one from Sand + Fog.
03
Tea Lights
I usually have tea lights lit at any given time. These small tea lights help create a calm, relaxing atmosphere.
05
Mexican Blanket
Love a good blanket. I have a few of these ones laying around, perfect to add to your slow morning.
06
Barefoot Dreams Blanket
This blanket is super cozy, a great addition to your self-care routine – or a nap.
Self-Care
Self-care looks different for everyone. For me, it isn’t about perfect skin or fixing ourselves – it’s about creating small moments that remind us we matter. Sometimes that little extra attention we give ourselves makes us feel special.
01
Solawave Wand + Serum
I like red light therapy and the serum that comes with this smells really nice.
02
TreeHut Sugar Scrub
Love a sugar scrub, and the smell of this one. The coconut reminds me of Hawaii.
03
BioDance Collagen Mask
This one is pretty popular, and it feels luxurious. I have conversations with random people who also love this mask.
