First Post: A Journey of Self-Discovery
This morning, I was talking to my therapist about why I keep giving myself excuses for not starting my blog. He pointed out that it’s my programming—those old beliefs and fears—that are stopping me from taking that step. Fear of rejection, fear of abandonment, and the thought that someone might not like what I write are all powerful forces that hold me back, just a few of the things I will talk about on my journey of self-discovery.
One vivid thought that kept creeping into my mind was imagining my mom, all sweet in her little-old-lady housecoat, doing an innocent Google search of my name. The last thing I wanted was for her to come across a post where I might be perceived as complaining about her parenting. The fear of judgment was real. What if someone got hurt? What if someone disagreed with me? What if someone was mean to me? How would I handle all of that?
These questions always seem to surface, but then I thought, “I want to do it anyway.”

The Journey of Self-Discovery and Reparenting Myself
I’m excited to share this blog with you and let you in on how I’ve chosen to be there for myself over the years. This journey has been one of self-love and self-compassion. I’ve spent countless hours journaling, questioning, exploring, and showing up for myself every single day.
In the past, I received messages that I wasn’t enough. But the moment I realized I had a choice, I chose myself—and I never looked back. My story is all about self-empowerment and making the decision to embrace who I truly am.
The Main Goal of This Blog: Narrating My Journey
The main goal of this blog is to narrate my story and the lessons I’ve learned on my journey of self-discovery and reparenting myself. I want to share the experiences that have shaped me and the person I’m becoming.
I’m still on my journey, and if I’m honest, it feels like a journey with no end. Every day, I am learning, growing, and evolving. This blog is a documentation of where I am today, and it will continue to evolve as I do. I’ll keep you posted on new things I add, take away, or change, because I have the liberty to do so—and so do you.
Staying Open-Minded and Curious
I want to remain open-minded and curious about everything. I want to ask questions, explore different perspectives, and continue growing and expanding in every way possible. In each blog post, I’ll dive into a different thought or concept that I’ve learned over time and explore it with a sense of curiosity.
I’m not a therapist, and I’m not an expert. I’m just a woman on a journey to understand herself better. The insights I share are my own, and I hope they resonate with you. I offer my story for you to reflect on, and you can choose what parts of it, if any, apply to your own life. There’s no pressure—this is just my journey, shared with you.
For Those Who Need Validation and Relatability
I’m here to offer a space for people who are looking for someone to relate to. If you’re searching for validation that you’re not alone in your struggles or experiences, I’m glad you’re here. We all have our own journeys, and I hope my story provides something meaningful for you on yours.
Thank You for Joining Me on This Journey
Regardless of why you’re here, I’m grateful for your time. Thank you for spending it with me. I hope you find something here that benefits your journey forward—whether that’s a new perspective, a piece of advice, or simply the reminder that you are not alone.
