about Rosie
Rosie in a New Light is a mental health and wellness blog. Rosie is a perspective that’s always changing. Rosie is you, Rosie is me, she’s all of us in our infinite spectrum of colors. Rosie is a concept, and she’s whatever you need her to be.
Rosie is curious. She is always shifting perspectives and understanding things from every angle. Rosie is raw, she’s honest and she strives at all times for growth and authenticity.
My hope for you, as you read this blog, is that you can begin to see yourself in Rosie. May your perspective change many times over, and may you find your own light, or a new one.
Mental health is an important theme at the forefront of this blog. We will explore topics with an emphasis on anxiety, depression and understanding human emotions. We will also be taking painstaking looks at even the most random of life’s little details, in the name of learning. Here, we want to know how everything affects our mental health, so we can be as happy and fulfilled as we possibly can. Rosie shines light on even the smallest mindset attributes to provoke new ways of thinking.
Rosie is beautiful and complex and irreplaceable, just like you. She has lived a life full of excitement, and mystery and charm. She has made mistakes, failed and has experienced heartbreak in a myriad of ways. She knows that places of pain can be among the most beautiful, because she’s seen them herself. Over time, she has come to thrive in the uncertainty and constant change that is life, because she is able to seek out and find herself in the ever confusing array of messy details. She has fought her way through the flames, to emerge refined and closer to her authentic self than ever before. She is dedicated to herself, and she chooses her well being, every time.
While you read these blog posts, be aware that they come from first hand experience and emotion. There may be interviews, book reviews, and suggestions from real people who have just lived and learned. Rosie in a New Light is for anyone on a journey to understand themselves and live more authentically.
I encourage you to bring all of your baggage, your questions and your insecurities with you when you read these words. You may find you’re not alone. You may relate to the concepts and wisdom offered within these pages. You may see yourself in Rosie, and if you try hard enough, you may also see Rosie, in a New Light.
Thanks for being here,
Susie from Rosie in a New Light
